Soccer and Congress Goals
"At one point you need to pick up the broken pieces and establish your new beginning."
My name is Angel Noriega, a 23-year old DACA recipient. I came to the United States when I was 1 year old and was raised in Sylmar, California. I also happen to be a first-generation high school and college graduate. My father works in construction, and my mother is a custodian.
When I was growing up, I faced a few challenges just like everyone else such as lack of resources both in and out the classroom. Currently, I am studying for the LSAT to attend Law school. If that doesn’t work out, I plan to go to graduate school in Higher Education Administration.
My goal is to run for Congress one day. I have many sad and happy moments that I’d like to keep to myself, but I would like to touch upon a few achievements: winning CIF state finals and the Big West at UC Riverside, and earning my diploma from a UC.
To everyone reading this and going through a tough time. I want you to know that it doesn’t last. Hard times are just temporary. Keep on fighting every day, your dreams are closer than you think.
